TLDL;
After pulling the level a large fiend named Zelcon’on walked calmly out of the jail, murdering everyone on his way
He called over the PCs and thanked them, healed them, and gave them each a gift
He told Wrothe that it was good to see him again and talked about how he is still talked about at Rakdos’s circus.
He then opened a rift and stepped in, right before he did he cast a spell on the PCs to make them turn ferral and fight each other.
After shaking off the spell the PCs went into the jail to investigate who was inside. They found Townsfolk from both Flamesford and Dark Tide, as well as lizardfolk, members of The Church of the Five Flame, a woman who looked exactly like the warden who escaped earlier, and four Kobolds.
After interrogating then not freeing the Church of the Five members, they continued to the Kobold’s cell.
They received a lot of information from the Kobolds like there was a Beholder, there were many more floors of the castle they didn't know about, that the Kobolds were working for an Arcanaloth named Fenroe, and that their names were Torbin, Madorja, Silas, and Butch.
They then tried to interrogate the woman that looked like the warden but she only cried.
They then talked to the half-orc named Kreeg. He was a moneylender who saw them in the Steel Rose in Dark Tide.
He informed them that the Shapeshifter they were searching for was the Blue Dragonborn named King who they met in the Steel Rose as well.
AS they freed Kreeg, the woman let herself out of her cell and fireballed the party, Kreeg was immediately barbequed.
They defeated the woman, who turned out to be a Green Slaad.
They freed the two lizardfolk, but one expired in the time they were looking around.
Finally, they grabbed the unconscious ARES member and his winged wolf.
They brought them back to safety and found out that the wolf was sent as a messenger from their employer Centurian Kaeso.
He was summoning them back to Talgos to learn new information and debrief, as well as escape from the island which was beginning to crawl with members of multiple Demon Price’s Inner circles.
Using the ARES agent’s intel they headed to the first floor of the castle where they fought in a room of shifting elementals and room hazards.
Finally, they made it to the foyer where they saw a massive guardian who pays people for bodies delivered to the castle.
